Spell Bowl is a state-wide competition. Also, it allows our students a chance to travel to another school in Northern Indiana to compete in a written competition.
Robotics Club is a group where students design, build, code, and test robots to compete in challenges or learn about technology, engineering, and STEM through hands-on projects.
Girls Who Code explore foundational computer science concepts and practice computational thinking skills through hands-on activities that connect to their daily lives. This is for 3rd & 4th grade.
Technology Club is where we do 3D printing and learn new innovative ways in technology. This is for 3rd & 4th graders.
Girls on the Run is a fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others. This is a spring activity that concludes with a 5K as a team at the end!

Tiger Walking Club What has 208 legs, an abundance of energy,and a desire to be in good shape? The Tiger Walking Club at Kingsford Heights School! We are hearing a lot these days about childhood obesity and health problems due to lack of physical activity, and Kingsford Heights staff and students are doing something about it. Students are invited to walk a quarter-mile track on the playground, and their progress is charted. Students are recognized for each mile they walk, with special awards for 5, 10, and 15 miles.
